Challenge

Infrastructure operators need effective sound insulation solutions that can reduce noise impact while integrating more circular materials into construction and mobility assets.

Solution

Farcimar developed an acoustic barrier concept combining concrete with ELT rubber, aiming to validate its performance in Portuguese infrastructure contexts. The project was initially connected to a railway testbed in Évora and later progressed to a new testbed with Brisa on the A1 road in Vila Franca de Xira.
